GATTA believes that tourism experiences are personal and are a true social phenomenon. Encounters during travel provide life time images and impressions for each person involved, which also promote cross-cultural exchanges and respect for other cultures.
With this philosophy in mind, the “GOLDEN FACE OF GHANA” will be launched with a “PAGEANT” that will be eloquently and gracefully presented by young Ghanaian ladies aged between 20 and 25 years. They will research the products, work with chiefs, communities, NGOs, tourism stakeholders of sites and our professional tourism team to prepare a framework for presentation of development projects.
Their presentations will be a lively recount of experiences in the communities in audio video productions, photo and material exhibitions, live performances and oratorical make-ups.
The best three proposals presented will be selected as projects to be developed and promoted over two years. The presenter of the best proposal will be the icon of the “GOLDEN FACE OF GHANA” project and will be the worthy ambassador for tourism for 2-years.
A media launch for the project is scheduled for April 5, 2006 followed by the project launch on July 1, 2006.
