  INCREASE DOMESTIC TOURISM THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF SPECIAL EVENTS AND TOUR PACKAGES AND ALSO CULTIVATE THE CULTURE OF SAVINGS FOR LEISURE TRAVEL AMONG GHANAIANS.  
     
     
     
 

Activities, Time Frame & Cost

  • Enhance existing traditional events or create 4 special events in 2 of the selected sites and embark on special promotions targeted at various segments of the Ghanaian population to attract up to additional 5,000-15,000 visitors annually. (Production and promotional budget @ $20,000 = $80,000)

  • Develop 3-7 day tour packages of sites and various circuits in collaboration with other service providers (i.e. accommodation and transport operators) to meet the pockets of pupils, students, low income and middle income earners. (PR and Promotional budget of $15,000)

  • Collaborate with financial institutions to set-up travel incentives and products for domestic leisure tourism packages. (PR and Promotional budget of $18,000)
