  DEVELOP A PRINT AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA AND PERSONALITY IMAGE CAMPAIGN OF INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN GHANAIAN PERSONALITIES (SUCH AS, H.E MR. KOFI ANNAN, MICHAEL ESSIEN, AZUMAH NELSON ETC) AS ICONS FOR THE PROMOTION OF GHANA IN THE GENERATING COUNTRIES.  
     
     
     
 

Activities, Time Frame & Costs

  • Develop high quality photo and video banks and collate tourism product information for selected sites as well as other circuits for the purposes of producing print and electronic promotional literature on the destination. (12 months @ $25,000 a month = $300,000)

  • Train GATTA members (200) over a 6 months period to develop and use e-marketing as a tool to market products and investment opportunities in tourism. (6 months @ $8,000 a month = $48,000)

  • Schedule destination promotional events for Ghanaian international personalities to address or make appearances. (For example, H.E. Kofi Annan UN Secretary General will address selected tour operators and investors during WTM 2006 and ITB 2007. Current and former International soccer stars; Michael Essien, Tony Yeboah and Abedi Pele will be cultural ambassadors at destination promotional shows (food and cultural fairs) in Germany before, during and after the 2006 World Cup). (Events production, facilitation logistics and PR @ $350,000)

  • Produce adequate electronic and print promotional items for presentation at 6 International Tourism Fairs (WTM 2006 & 2007, ITB 2007 & 2008, Milan 2007, Sales Blitz in USA 2007) (5,000-20,000 copies of 6 items @ 40,000 = $240,000)
